Q. WHY SHOULD I USE PAVERS AND NOT CONCRETE?

There are many reasons you should use pavers including CHOICE- not only are there several different colors available but also several shapes & sizes. REPAIR- to repair a crack or stain in a brick paver just requires removal of that paver. You are not ripping up whole driveways or looking at oil stains for years. COST- most people are pleasantly surprised at the cost. They think brick pavers are far more expensive then concrete. This is not always the case, and of course don’t forget you are adding value to your home with a brick driveway and/or pool deck.

Q. SHOULD I USE THICK OR THIN PAVERS?

If it is a new construction job then thick pavers are preferable. If pavers are to be put over an existing concrete surface on a pool deck, walkway or patio then thin pavers can be used. Of course always check height restrictions.

Q. SHOULD I SEAL MY PAVERS?

Sealing brick pavers is a personal preference. It is not necessary as some people like the natural color of the brick whereas other homeowners like the wet look that you can have with sealing. Some of the advantages of sealing if you choose to are – it helps keep the sand in the joints, helps to protect against some stains, and brings out the color of the brick.
